Gabriel Jacob

Gabriel B. Jacob, a teacher for more than 26 years, began his tennis career in junior high school and has played and won many tournaments and collegiate matches.

Gabriel holds a Professional 1 rating in USPTA and has been a member for more than 22 years.

His experience in the tennis industry includes business resource development, management, sales, marketing and public relations, in addition to teaching. He has demonstrated his expertise by increasing lesson revenues, tennis programs, member participation and pro shop sales. In addition, he is a member of the HEAD/Penn national advisory staff.

Gabriel previously coached for the San Bernardino Valley College women's tennis team, which came in as high as second place in the Foothill Conference.

Gabriel is also self-employed as a private contractor at the Redlands Country Club in Redlands, Calif. He runs various programs, including private, semiprivate and group lessons, as well as pee wee tennis clinics for ages 3 to 14. In addition, he conducts adult clinics for beginners to advanced players.

Gabriel previously was a member of the professional management team at Rancho Mediterranean Racquet Club. He supervised and participated in on-court teaching, and established leagues, clinics and social events for membership involvement. Gabriel also owned and operated the pro shop, covering all phases of operation, including marketing and promotions. He had four employees whom he supervised in customer service, sales inventory, cash register operations and racquet stringing.

His formal education includes an associate of applied science degree in aviation management from Air Force Community College, an associate of arts in business administration from Crafton Hills Community College, a bachelor of arts in business administration (management) from California State University at San Bernardino and a masters of science degree in physical education from Azusa Pacific University.

Gabriel served as area coordinator of the USTA Play Tennis America league for adult beginners. He serves on the board of directors for the Redlands Racquet Club, and the tournament director. He is also served as the Inland Empire team coordinator for the USTA.

In addition Gabriel, served as the commissioner for junior tennis in the Inland Empire for the Southern California Tennis Association.
